2. Terms and Conditions

2.1 Service Scope

Himma Academy provides tailored tutoring services for students worldwide, in a range of subjects and formats, including online and in-person sessions.

2.2 Tutor and Student Obligations

Tutors must uphold academic integrity, follow safeguarding guidelines, and maintain professionalism. Students (and their parents/guardians, if applicable) must respect session times, communicate honestly, and adhere to agreed lesson plans.

2.3 Bookings, Cancellations, and Refunds

Bookings are confirmed once payment is received. Cancellations made with at least 24 hours’ notice may be rescheduled at no additional cost. Refunds are processed only in cases where service delivery has not commenced or where required by law.

2.4 Payments

All fees are payable in the currency stated at the time of booking. Payments are processed securely via approved payment gateways. Himma Academy does not store card details.

2.5 Limitation of Liability

While we make every effort to provide exceptional services, Himma Academy is not liable for:

  • Examination results or academic outcomes
  • Disruptions caused by internet or technology failures beyond our control
  • Indirect or consequential losses

3. Child Protection and Safeguarding Policy

3.1 Commitment to Safety

We take safeguarding seriously and are committed to protecting children and vulnerable individuals from harm.

3.2 Tutor Vetting

All tutors undergo background checks appropriate to their jurisdiction (including DBS checks in the UK and equivalent checks in the Middle East).

3.3 Code of Conduct

Tutors must:

  • Maintain professional boundaries at all times
  • Conduct lessons only through approved communication platforms
  • Avoid any private, unsupervised contact with students outside scheduled sessions

3.4 Reporting Concerns

Any safeguarding concerns must be reported immediately to info@himmaacademy.com. We will take swift action in line with local and international safeguarding standards.

4. Intellectual Property

All lesson materials, course content, and resources produced by Himma Academy remain our intellectual property unless explicitly agreed otherwise in writing. Clients and students receive a limited, non-transferable licence to use these materials solely for personal educational purposes.

5. Dispute Resolution

Any dispute arising from these terms will be governed by the laws of England and Wales, unless otherwise agreed in writing. For clients in the Middle East, local consumer protection laws may also apply. Where possible, disputes should be resolved amicably through mediation before legal proceedings.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy and Legal Notice from time to time to reflect changes in the law or our services. Updated versions will be posted on our website with the effective date clearly indicated.
